Wireless carrier O2 has managed to get an exclusivity on the gold-flavored version of the HTC One, which was made official only yesterday.

The smartphone, originally expected to arrive on shelves only in mid-December, is already available for purchase through the operator in this country, for only €1 on a €39.49 per month contract (for two years).

Users will be able to opt in for other monthly plans as well, and can even buy the phone outright, though it costs no less than €541 ($735). It can be seen on this page at O2.

As UnwiredView notes, it should not be too long before HTC and its partner carriers start releasing the new smartphone version in more countries in Europe.

For those out of loop, we should note that the Gold HTC One packs the same features and capabilities as the original Silver version of the phone, only that it is colored differently.
