Shortly after receiving the long awaited Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean upgrade, the HTC One X has been hit with a new software update.

The folks at UnleashThePhones report that One X is now receiving a minor upgrade that promises to improve the way the camera acts, as well as the battery life.

The update is only 3.42MB in size, so it will probably take less than a minute to download and install, depending on the network connectivity.

The changelog of this new software version reads, “battery life optimized with updated camera standby behavior.”

It is also worth mentioning that the HTC One X+ is getting the maintenance update as well, in stages.

Those who have yet to be notified on the update should manually check for it by going to Settings / About phone / Software update / Check now.
