HTC has announced earlier this week that its flagship smartphone, the HTC One, will receive the hotly anticipated Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update in the following days.

According to UnleashthePhones, the update has just reached India and is now available for download. However, it appears that Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean is pushed OTA (over the air) in stages, which means that it will take some time until all HTC One users receive it.

The upgrade contains lots of improvements and bug fixes, including a new Lock screen style widget, Home button options to make navigation menu bar removable, and more.

The Launcher bar has been enhanced, along with the Home button behavior. The battery level can now be shown in status bar and there’s a new Zoe file format for better file management.

In order to check if the update is available for download, simply go to About / Software Updates / Check for Updates.
