Wireless carrier T-Mobile has started pushing a new software update for the owners of the HTC One smartphone on its network, namely version 1.27.531.11.

Approved on Monday, July 22, the new update is still based on Android 4.1.2, but it should pave the way for the release of Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean for the smartphone.

As part of the new upgrade, users will enjoy improved stability of their devices, along with fixes for the 4G LTE connectivity issues that they have been experiencing before. Various enhancements to the phone’s processor were also included.

The update weighs 247 MB, and requires firmware version 1.27.531.8 to be loaded on the device. The new software won’t be pushed to rooted devices, it seems.

Additional info on what it has to offer and on how users can upgrade to it are available on T-Mobile’s support website.
