You'd better start saving up if you want the new One M9

HTC has barely announced its high-end One M9 smartphone at MWC 2015, saying that it won’t start shipping the device right away.

Even so, HTC Germany is already offering the phone for pre-order on its official website. HTC was mum about the phone's pricing, but the current listing sheds light on that matter.

And just as we were expecting, the model doesn't come cheap at all. Interested parties in Germany will have to take up to €749 / $832 out of their pockets if they want to get their hands on HTC’s latest and greatest achievement in terms of mobile technology.

For the time being, customers can pre-order the phone only in gold, while the silver and gunmetal grey versions are pegged for March 31.

Interestingly enough, a few days before the One M9’s official debut, a leaked Best Buy listing showed the flagship would start selling from $649 / €583 in the US. We certainly hope that’s the case.

The HTC One M9 mostly recycles the company’s design philosophy taking a lot of cues from the previous One M8. As for specs, the phone arrives with a 5-inch 1080p display, an octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor and 3GB of RAM.
