Good news for HTC One (M7) owners, as the Taiwanese company backtracked on its initial statement saying that this smartphone won't be getting Android 5.1 Lollipop.

HTC's Mo Versi is back with another statement in which he says that his company has heard One (M7) owners' cries and that they should stay tuned for more on Android 5.1 Lollipop update for this smartphone.

He has also said that many of the fixes in Android 5.1 Lollipop are already included in HTC's current software version. However, since there are more improvements in this version of Android, HTC claims that they understand One (M7) owners' concerns and that they might deliver the update after all.

Keep in mind that this is not yet a confirmation that Android 5.1 Lollipop will arrive on HTC One (M7), but there's a high chance that it will eventually get it.

It's also worth mentioning that Mo Versi's tweet seems to refer to the carrier-branded versions of HTC One (M7), so here is something else to think about.

We expect more details on Android 5.1 Lollipop for HTC One (M7) to be made available in the coming days, so if you own the handset, you might want to stay tuned for additional info on the matter.
