Today, HTC officially announced the upcoming availability of a new flavor of the HTC One, with stock Android loaded on top, featuring the latest flavor of the platform, namely Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.

The smartphone is set to become available for purchase through the Google Play Store on June 26, and it is now rumored to be set to receive an upgrade to Android 4.3 soon after.

The info comes from infamous leaker LlabTooFeR, though no specific details on the availability of the upgrade have been provided as of now.

“Confirmed: HTC One Nexus Edition will get 4.3 update few weeks after release,” @LlabTooFeR notes in a tweet.

Provided that the info is accurate, it means that Google is getting ready for the unveiling of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean in the not too distant future, and that Galaxy S 4 “Google edition,” also running vanilla Android, will receive soon after launch as well.
