Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation has officially confirmed plans to make the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system available for its HTC One Developer Edition users before the end of this week.

Jason Mackenzie, president of HTC America, confirmed on his Twitter account that the update would be arriving soon on said devices.

He also announced that HTC One users in Canada would receive the software update before the end of September.

However, it appears that it will take a bit longer for the new firmware to be released to HTC One devices in the United States, as the it still needs to get through the carrier approval process.

“We're still working hard & optimistic for U.S. carrier certification – stay tuned to @HTCUSA for more news soon,” Mackenzie said in another tweet.
