Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation has lately been rumored to plan the launch of a successor for its HTC One smartphone in early 2014, and some more info on the device is now available.

The phone, leaked online before with a 5-inch full HD touchscreen display and a quad-core Snapdragon 800 CPU inside, is now said to be running under the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system right from the beginning.

A recent tweet from famous leaker @evleaks unveils that, “Sounds like the HTC M8 is -- and you could probably predict -- a 5-inch, 1080p handset powered by KitKat and a Snapdragon 800.”

Previous rumors on the smartphone have also revealed the fact that HTC is planning to make the phone available in the United States via all major wireless carriers in the first quarter of the next year.
