We've been hearing of HTC's next Android flagship smartphone for quite some time now, but details on the handset's official announcement were scarce.

Luckily, the folk over at Football4PDA have just learned from sources close to the matter that HTC M7 might be announced at Consumer Electronics Show 2013, next week.

According to them, the device will come with on-screen buttons instead of hardware touch keys. In addition, the M7 is said to sport a 5-inch full HD (1080p) capacitive touchscreen display and a 13-megapixel rear photo snapper.

The upcoming HTC M7 will ship with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box and will be powered by a 1.7 GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor and a high-capacity 2300 mAh Li-Ion battery. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
