On Thursday, wireless carrier Sprint announced the availability of new software updates for two of its Android-based mobile phones, and HTC EVO 4G was one of them.

At the moment, Sprint is pushing out software update 4.67.651.3 for this device, delivering a series of security enhancements to users, along with an updated Peep client (to align with Twitter), and some battery life improvements that will certainly make users rejoice.

The new update will be delivered in phases, and should arrive on all handsets starting with January 24th, after being initially deployed on January 19th.

“Updates may be released in stages. When checking for the update, you may receive a message that no update is available, check back later or wait until the update notification is sent to your device,” Sprint notes on its support website.

Those who would like to learn more on how to install the update should head over there for that.
