Although Sprint has yet to make it official, it appears that HTC EVO 4G LTE is about to receive the long-awaited Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update on December 13.

According to a screenshot taken from an internal Sprint page and published by AndroidPolice, the update to 3.15.651.16 will be initiated today.

The upgrade brings the new HTC Sense 4+ user interface, improved camera capabilities and gallery, as well as better Wi-Fi Authentication. The Calendar Reminder has been improved as well.

The update also adds a few fixes, such as the personalized ringtone issue and the hyperlinks routing the phone app from calendar description issue.

Given the fact that Sprint has yet to confirm the availability of the update, we can’t be 100% sure that Android 4.1 Jelly Bean will arrive on HTC EVO 4G LTE today, but stay tuned for more info on the matter.
