HTC DROID Incredible Receives Minor Update, Reduced Device Reboots

The update is now pushed OTA (over the air), in waves

One of the oldest Android smartphone launched in the United States through major carrier Verizon Wireless, the HTC DROID Incredible has just received a maintenance update.

Those who still own the device, which was launched back in 2010, should rest easy and don't get their hopes high as this is not a major update that could bring the DROID Incredible to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

According to the official changelog, which was already published by Verizon, software update 4.08.605.19 710RD focuses on fixing some issues.

In fact, the update was probably delivered due to overwhelming feedback coming from users complaining the device reboots randomly pretty often.

It looks like this update is meant to reduce the HTC DROID Incredible's reboots and nothing else. Keep in mind the update is pushed OTA (over the air) in stages, so not all users might receive it at the same time.
