The update is pushed OTA (over the air) within the next few days

HTC India has just confirmed that Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread update with Sense 3.0 user interface for the Desire S has just started to roll out in India.

 

The software update is deployed OTA (over the air) in waves, so HTC Desires S owners should expect to receive it automatically within the next few days.

 

To manually check for the update simply go to Setting / About phone / Software update / Check for new software.

 

The update brings several important improvements to various applications and adds new features, including: Live Wallpapers, Friend channel widget, Photo grid widget, Calendar application, Android Market 3.1.5 and more.

 

In other news, HTC India also confirmed that an important update for the HTC Desire HD is already in testing phase and that it will take at least 4 weeks to release it.
