The smartphone should arrive on shelves by mid-December

Verizon Wireless has been long rumored to plan the release of a new HTC handset in its popular DROID lineup, and some more solid confirmation on the matter is now available.

Supposedly dubbed HTC DROID DNA, the handset is said to land at Verizon by mid-December, and the carrier’s employees have been already announced on the matter, rumor has it.

The above image (available courtesy of TalkAndroid) is said to have been showed to them, confirming some of the already leaked specs of the handset, such as its 5-inch full HD display (1080p), or the 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back.

Furthermore, the upcoming mobile phone is said to sport a 2MP camera on the front, Beats Audio, and HTC’s Sense UI loaded on top of Android. Moreover, the new device is expected to sport a price tag of $199 when released.
