Good news for Windows Phone users as the main navigation application for their devices, HERE Maps, has just received a small update.

Nokia has tweeted some details on the changes included in this update, but keep in mind that the size of it is different and depends on the region or Maps you already have installed on your smartphones.

Well, according to Nokia, HERE Maps for Windows Phone has just received an update that brings more woodlands data. No other changes have been mentioned, but that doesn’t mean that the latest version doesn’t feature some tweaks and minor bug fixes as well.

Anyway, in order to update your HERE Maps application, you will need to head over to Settings / Applications / Maps and check for it, otherwise in might not show on your smartphone right away.

It is also worth mentioning that the update seems to have been pushed on Windows Phone 8 and Windows Phone 8.1 devices, as well as on Nokia X.

On a side note, those who wish to see their HERE Maps tiles transparent, may want to use a third-party app called Transparency Tiles, which works for Nokia’s navigation app, as well as for Xbox Music, Video and Game tiles.
