The game goes for $4.99 and is compatible with Android 2.1 and up

As expected, Rockstar’s “Grand Theft Auto III” game has just dropped in the Android Market. The video game developer announced the upcoming availability of the game about two months ago and confirmed that it will be ported on both Android and iOS platforms.

 

GTA III for Android operating system was released in celebration of the game’s 10th anniversary and is meant to bring fans of the game some of the open-world gameplay available on the PC and console versions.

 

In this regard, Rockstar Games mentions that the Android game features gamepad support for select USB controllers, as well as HD quality resolution. “Grand Theft Auto III” is now available for download in the Android Market for $4.99.

 

The following Android smartphones are supported: HTC Rezound, LG Optimus 2x, Motorola Atrix 4G, Motorola Droid X2, Motorola Photon 4G, Samsung Galaxy R, T-Mobile G2x

 

GTA III fans can play the game if they own one of the following tablets: Acer Iconia, Asus Eee Pad Transformer, Dell Streak 7, LG Optimus Pad, Motorola Xoom, Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 and 10.1, Sony Tablet S, Toshiba Thrive.
