Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie, the next flavor of Google’s mobile operating system, is expected to arrive only in late October, with a wide range of enhancements and optimizations packed inside.

Although the OS version hasn’t been confirmed as of now, rumors on its near arrival have been floating around for the last several months, but it seems that users will still have to wait a bit more for it to arrive.

A recent post on vr-zone claims that Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie is set to make its official debut in late October, around the same time when the new Motorola X Phone is launched.

Furthermore, the platform is said to pack a wide range of optimizations that will make it fit even for devices that sport only 512MB of RAM.
