Google appears to be on a killing spree lately, and it looks like the Google Voice app for BlackBerry will be its next victim.

After removing all ad-blocking apps from the Google Play Store, the company will end the support for the aforementioned BlackBerry app, and has already announced the move officially.

The company also announced that users interested in continuing enjoying the benefits of Google Voice would have to use the HTML5 app.

“For Blackberry users who want to continue using Google Voice, we recommend they use our HTML5 app, which is more secure and easier for us to keep up to date. Our HTML5 site is compatible with users with Blackberry version 6 and newer,” the company said.

The move will disappoint a lot of BlackBerry users, especially since the application provided them with cheap international calls, yet the alternative HTML5 app might not sound like a bad option in the end.
