Google has been improving its Gmail client for mobile devices pretty often in order to keep the application and service competitive. One of the major improvements implemented a while ago allows Gmail users to add other accounts to the email client.

For example, you could have Gmail, Outlook and Exchange accounts added into the email client, so you could check your messages in a single place.

However, the application did not allow users to see all messages from all email accounts in a single inbox. That is about to change, as Google has just updated its Gmail application for Android devices and one of the highlights of this update is the possibility to view all accounts in a single inbox.

But there's more to it, as AndroidPolice confirms the update also introduces the option to browse conversations in non-Gmail accounts the same way you could do it with those native. For the time being, the supported accounts include both Yahoo and Outlook.com, as well as IMAP/POP accounts.

Moreover, Google also added better search results, which means that when you start typing something, there will be smarter auto-complete options available to you. You will also be able to save attachments to Google Drive with a single tap, as well as view larger attachment previews.

The latest version of Gmail for Android has already been released in Google Play Store and it looks like it's being rolled out globally in stages.
