It looks like Google has started to remove some of the not so old Google Play Edition smartphones from its Play Store. Some of them are not available at all regardless of region, but a few can still be purchased in one or two countries.

As Slashgear points out, Samsung Galaxy S4, Motorola Moto G, Sony Xperia Ultra and HTC One will soon disappear from Google Play Store. In fact, as mentioned earlier, some have already been dropped from the webstore.

Instead, Google seems to be more interested in promoting the new Android Wear devices. LG G Watch and Samsung Gear Live, both running Android Wear OS, have been listed on Google Play store.

The company also listed an unusual accessory for the LG G Watch, namely a charger for the smartwatch, which costs only $19.99 (€14.99). However, this is only available from within the LG G Watch listing on the Google Play Store.

In the same piece of news, Google is expected to start selling the Samsung Galaxy S5 Google Play Edition very soon, as the smartphone was recently teased by the search giant. What do you think about the latest changes in Google Play Store? Share your thoughts with us in the comments section below.
