Google has just released a small update for its Book application for Android devices. The update brings several new features and functions, as well as bug fixes and improvements.
Although Google claims it introduces the “read aloud” option for most flowing text books, this feature has been available for quite a while.
However, users will notice that there’s a new option available for those who want to take advantage of the “read aloud” feature, “high quality voice.”
In addition, the latest update adds the possibility to pinch-to-zoom and double-tap-zoom in all books. It is also worth mentioning that all text editing features are available for notes now.
The application now shows personalized recommendations at the end of the library and at the end of the books. Last but not least, Google included lots of bug fixes and performance enhancements in this update.
Google Play Books 2.7.25 is now available as a free download via Google Play Store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.0 and up. Check it out here.
