The updated application doesn't appear to include major changes

Yesterday, Mountain View-based Internet giant Google made official a new flavor of its mobile operating system, namely Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, which will come with a new iteration of the Google Play application, featuring version 4.2.9.

The app will roll out to devices in the not too distant future, that’s for sure, and those interested in taking it for a spin before that can already do so, as the necessary .APK file has leaked online.

According to Droid-life (which also offers a download link), the app appears to be similar with the software spotted on Nexus 4 last week (which featured build version 4.2.3).

Apparently, there are no major changes visible in the new application flavor, yet users might spot some differences after playing with it for a bit.

If you are planning on installing it, keep in mind that the software is not delivered through the official channels, and that it will require side loading.
