Mountain View-based Internet giant Google has announced the plans to hold an Android-related event on October 29th in New York, but did not offer further info on what would be unveiled there.

According to most rumors around the web, this event might be related to the launch of new Nexus handsets, just as suggested many times before.

At least one new Nexus smartphone is expected to make an official appearance on that day, namely the LG E960 Mako, said to land on shelves as Nexus 4 with Android 4.2 loaded on it.

At the same time, there is a great chance that we will see the 32GB Nexus 7 tablet PC made official at the event, along with a rumored 10-inch Nexus-branded tablet from Samsung, and a possible new 5-inch smartphone from HTC.

Samsung and Sony have been also suggested to plan the launch of new Nexus smartphones, and Motorola is a good candidate for this job as well.
