Earlier this week, Mountain View-based Internet giant Google made available for download a new flavor of its Google Maps application for the owners of Android-based devices, providing them with a series of bug fixes for a better experience with the application.

Unfortunately, the company did not offer specific info on what issues were resolved with the new app release, nor did it announce other enhancements for the popular software.

Providing users with detailed maps with 3D buildings, turn-by-turn GPS navigation, and driving, public transit, biking, and walking directions, the app is one of the most downloaded and installed in the Google Play Store.

It can be found on Softpedia as well, via this link, with support for all devices powered by the Android 2.1 Éclair or newer operating system flavors.
