Google has just made available for download a new flavor of its Maps application for Android, aimed at resolving a series of issues that the previous release came with.

The new Google Maps 6.0.1 app flavor is available for download in the Android Market with the aforementioned fixes inside, aimed at a series of newer devices, but with no major change included inside.

The new release follows shortly after the availability of Google Maps 6.0.0, which came with Indoor maps, though only in beta at the moment, providing users with coverage in select airports, shopping malls, and more.

Released as a major update for Android devices, Google Maps 6.0.0 also brought along an updated home screen for Places, and a menu on the top toolbar for offering faster navigation among the main features of the application.
