Since Google launched Inbox by Gmail on Android platform, the only way to get an account was to get an invite. This has changed recently, but Android users aren't that thrilled about using Google's latest email application for various reasons.

Many users find the original Gmail application much easier to use than Inbox, but that should not be a concern for the moment.

Google has just announced that Inbox by Gmail is now available on Android tablets. Yes, the application was only available on smartphones, but beginning today, those who wish to check on their email accounts from a tablet can do so with ease.

Additionally, Google announced that its Inbox application now supports Firefox and Safari browsers, as well as Chrome, but you will have to sign at the app's website in order to get access.

Last but not least, the Inbox by Gmail is now available on Apple's iPad tablets as well. You can also mark the application as Android Wear compatible, as you will be able to view messages, mark as done and reply without taking out your phone.

You can now download Inbox by Gmail for Android for free via Google Play Store. Keep in mind that the application is only compatible with devices powered by Android 4.1 and up.
