Search giant Google recently updated its Goggles application for Android devices. The update brings a considerable amount of changes, which will surely improve the overall user experience.

Firstly, Google Goggles now supports non-autofocus cameras and offers faster, more robust object tracking in “continuous mode.”

Those who mostly use this app to scan barcodes will be happy to know that Google included more complete barcode coverage.

It is also worth mentioning search-from-camera no longer requires search history to be enabled. Keep in mind that when the application fails to find an exact match, users are recommended to search for products that look similar.

Google Goggles 1.9 is now available as a free download via Google Play Store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.2. and up.
