Google has just updated its calendar application for stock Android with a few new features and improvements.

Those who are greatly relying on Google Calendar will now be able to call and go to map directly from the notifications.

Location suggestion on event creation is another new feature added within the latest update for Google Calendar. Last but not least, there's a new feature that allows users to create quick events from month view.

There are a few known issues that have yet to be fixed in future update, such as:

- Day and week views may not work on some HTC devices; - Local unsynced events may be lost after installing Google Calendar; - Notifications won't make sounds unless HTC's Calendar app is disabled; - Touching an email invitation in a mail app opens Calendar in the browser rather than the app.

Google Calendar 201212060 is now available as a free download via Google Play Store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 4.0.3 and up. Check it out here.
