One of the features that Windows Phone users will be able to enjoy when the upcoming Windows Phone 8.1 operating system arrives is support for Google Calendar, the latest reports on the matter suggest.

Apparently, users will be able to sync Google Contacts and Calendar with the upcoming Windows Phone 8.1, while also enjoying support for multiple Google Calendars, info coming from WindowsPhoneHacker unveils.

As WMPoweruser notes, Microsoft and Google have had a dispute with allowing support for Google Calendar in Windows Phone, but it appears that things might have been finally settled down.

The news site also notes that, in addition to the re-enabled support for Google’s service, owners of Windows Phone 8.1-based devices will also be able to take advantage of a new email notification icon in the Status bar, a feature that should have been included there for a long time now.
