Today, the Galaxy Nexus smartphone by Samsung celebrates one year since its official unveiling, and Google appears set to have a party for that.

Just as previously reported, an Android-related event will be held on October 29, and this is where a birthday party for the smartphone will take place.

Among the guests, we can count new Nexus devices, something that has been long rumored to happen.

“Happy birthday Galaxy Nexus, you were born one year ago, on October 19. Soon you are going to meet your younger brother(s),” a post on the unofficial Galaxy Nexus Google+ account reads.

There’s no official word on what will be unveiled at the event, but rumor has it that we’ll see new Google phones coming from LG, HTC, Samsung, Motorola and Sony.
