The smartphone should run under Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean

Phone maker Gionee India is reportedly getting ready for the unveiling of the Gionee GPad G3 smartphone in the not too distant future, providing users with a new appealing smartphone at a low price tag, the same as GPad G2 was before it.

The new device is expected to hit shelves with a large 5.5-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a 854 x 480 pixels resolution, a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor packed inside, PowerVR SGX544 GPU, and 1GB of RAM.

Furthermore, the phone is said to pack a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, front camera for video calling, 4GB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes.

According to technosamigos, the handset will also sport 3G connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and aGPS, FM Radio, a 2250 mAh battery, and Google’s Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean operating system loaded on top.
