14 DAY TRIAL // Galaxy S is one of the handsets that came pretty close to getting a full taste of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, but that update did not come to it through official channels.
Last week, Samsung started to push out to Galaxy S users a so-called “value pack” that included a series of Android 4.0 features, though was not a full update.
Such a software, however, arrives on Galaxy S courtesy of CyanogenMod. Nightly builds of CyanogenMod 9 containing the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich are available for download for this device.
The latest release, available from this webpage, came out on March 31st.
Just keep in mind that this is not an official release for the smartphone, and that its installation will void warranty and might harm the device if not performed properly.
