The game will be free to play, but certain items require in-app purchase

Initially slated for a January release, Gameloft’s “Dungeon Hunter 3” for Android platform will be arriving in the Android Market next month.

According to the folks over at DroidGamers, Gameloft confirmed via Twitter that the third installment of the Dungeon Hunter series will be available for download in March. In addition, the developers will also add a multiplayer mode for the iOS version of “Dungeon Hunter 3.”

Obviously, the game comes with new weapons, new monsters and new levels, but it will be feature the same Diablo-like gameplay. The game has 16 arenas known as dungeons (hence the name), as well as multiplayer mode.

Rumors has it that Gameloft will be going freemium with this one, which means that “Dungeon Hunter 3” will be free to play, but certain gear will only be unlocked via in-app purchase.
