The wait is almost over for fans of Gameloft’s Modern Combat franchise, as the French developer has announced that the fifth installment in the series will be available for download beginning July 24. The game should be up for sale on Google Play Store in about two weeks for around $6.99 (€5.49).

Players will be able to choose from four classes, each with its own traits, so depending on your style of play, you might want to check out below which one fits you best:

Assault – An aggressive fighter that is effective at medium range combat. Equips assault rifles and pistols. Heavy – Resilience is its main advantage. Equips shotguns and RPGs. The Heavy feels at home in close to medium range combat. Recon – Focuses on fast action and exposing enemies. Equips SMGs and pistols. The Recon is efficient in close range combat. Sniper – Focuses on sharpshooting with a stealth approach. Equips sniper rifles (obviously) and pistols. Efficient in long distance combat.”

Modern Combat 5: Blackout will offer both single- and multiplayer modes, but the experience gamers will get while playing them will be shared, which means gaining experience in single-player will have the same impact on the multiplayer mode as well.

We expect more details on the game to be available as we’re getting closer to the launch date, so stay tuned for more information on the matter.
