The software is available only for devices in Asia at the moment

South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung has started to deliver the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS upgrade to the owners of Galaxy Tab 7.7 tablet PCs, the latest reports on the matter suggest.

The device, launched as the first AMOLED slate in the company’s lineup, has received the update only in Asia for the time being, but it should taste it in other markets around the world as well in the near future.

According to a post on SamMobile, the update can be downloaded on Galaxy Tab 7.7 3G devices both over the air and through the Samsung Kies application.

At the moment, the software is available for the following models: Singapore, Indonesia, Singapore (StarHub), Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines (Globe), Singapore (SingTel), Philippines (Sun), and Malaysia. The Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update arrives with PDA version P6800DXMD3.
