Last month, South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung unveiled to the world a new member of its Galaxy Tab series, in the form of the 7-inch Galaxy Tab 3 tablet PC, but it seems that a new such device is coming soon.

The guys over at TechTastic have discovered in the GLBenchmark database reference to a certain Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 slate, one that sports the model number SM-T311.

The new device is expected to arrive on shelves with an 8-inch WXVGA (1280 x 800) touchscreen, a 1.5GHz dual-core Exynos 4412 processor, an ARM Mali-400 GPU, 2GB of RAM, and a 4500mAh battery.

Furthermore, the device is expected to hit the market with a 3-megapixel rear camera, a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, and with Google’s Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system right from the start, as well as with Samsung’s TouchWiz interface loaded on top, a recent article on SamMobile notes.
