Owners of a Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone on the network of Australian wireless carrier Vodafone will be able to download and install the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system upgrade on their devices starting tomorrow, the operator officially confirmed.

The update was approved for both the Vodafone and 3 flavors of the device, and will begin rolling out over-the-air in phases starting tomorrow, a recent post on Ausdroid reads.

“The update for the SGS2 will be 4.1.2 and we're starting rollout from tomorrow,” Vodafone announced on its forum.

In the beginning, the carrier will select only 10,000 devices to receive the update, but will increase the number by an additional 10,000 per day starting with day 4. Within two weeks, all handsets should be eligible for the upgrade, it seems.
