On Wednesday, South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics should make official the next handset in its popular Galaxy Note series, namely the Galaxy Note III, and it seems that the device has already received the necessary approvals from the Global Certification Forum.

The certification was awarded for the LTE-enabled variant of the smartphone, which features model number SM-N9005, and which packs support for LTE 2100/1800/850/1600/800MHz (Band 1,3,5,7,20) frequencies.

Furthermore, the smartphone was approved with WCDMA 2100/1900/900/850 MHz, and GSM 1900/1800/900/850 MHz connectivity packed inside, as SamMobile notes.

There’s little doubt that Samsung will make the new mobile phone official on September 4 at the IFA 2013 trade fair, especially now that the GCF has approved it, though it remains to be seen whether the previous rumors on the smartphone will pan out or not, so stay tuned.
