South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung is reportedly getting ready to begin mass production of the upcoming Galaxy Note III smartphone in August, yet the handset hasn’t been officially confirmed as of now.

The info reportedly comes from a person working within Samsung’s Mobile Phone division, who also confirmed lower orders for the Galaxy S4.

The flagship Android device enjoyed impressive sales in the first month after launch, but its performance slowed down, and Samsung expects July’s sales to be only half of those registered back in May, it seems.

“Since we will start placing orders for follow-up models, such as Galaxy Note III, from August, the impact to suppliers will be minimal,” said employee told ETNews.

According to UnwiredView, Samsung might be able to start shipping the Galaxy Note III in early to mid-September, after unveiling the phone about one month earlier.
