Samsung has started to deliver a new software update to the owners of Galaxy Note 3 smartphones out there, providing them with a series of fixes for some of the issues that the latest update has caused.

To be more precise, the new software release for the device is meant to resolve a compatibility issue that the Android 4.4 KitKat platform upgrade has brought to the phone, rendering various third-party accessories for the device unusable.

Samsung acknowledged the problem several weeks ago, and it has started deploying a fix for it now. According to SamMobile, users in Poland were the first to receive the new firmware iteration (for what it’s worth, they were also the first to get a taste of KitKat).

At the moment, the update is available for the quad-core flavor of the Galaxy Note 3, which features model number SM-N9005.
