Owners of a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 smartphone on the network of wireless carrier T-Mobile in the Netherlands have started to receive the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system upgrade today, the latest reports on the matter suggest.

The unbranded version of the smartphone has started to see the update internationally last month, but it seems that Samsung and its carrier partners are working on pushing it to as many devices as possible.

A recent post on androidworld.nl notes that the update is now live at T-Mobile in the Netherlands, and that users will be provided with a series of UI changes, including updated icons and a different status bar color scheme.

Moreover, the news site notes that the overall performance capabilities of the device appear to have been improved as part of the update.

The software comes with build number N9005XXUENA7 attached and can be downloaded both over WiFi connections and via Samsung Kies.
