Starting today, owners of Samsung Galaxy Note 3 smartphones in Russia should start receiving a new update for their handsets, in the form of one that will provide them with a series of features that were included in Galaxy S5 earlier this year.

The update started arriving on the international version of Galaxy Note 3 only yesterday, when users in the UK received it. Several weeks ago, the same software release was pushed to Galaxy Note 3 devices at wireless carriers in the US.

The firmware refresh should be around 185MB in size, while featuring build number N9005XXUFNF4. It is expected to arrive on all Snapdragon-based Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N9005) devices out there in the not-too-distant future.

As part of the update, users will receive the aforementioned Download Booster, along with Kids Mode, and version 2.0 of Samsung’s KNOX security app, as SamMobile notes in a recent post. The Kids Mode won’t work right away, but users will need to configure it to get it up and running.

The update will be pushed OTA, which means that users will receive a notification on its availability. However, they can also manually check on it by heading to Settings > General > About phone > Software updates.
