Today, Japanese wireless carrier NTT Docomo has officially announced plans to make the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 smartphone available for its customers starting with October 17.

The handset will be released as part of the operator’s winter lineup and will pack a series of features specific to the local market, including FeliCa, One-Seg NOTTV, and Xi LTE support, as SamMobile notes.

The specifications list of the device remain the same as those for the international model, including a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display that can deliver a full HD resolution, and a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor.

Furthermore, the handset packs 3GB of internal memory, a 13-megapixel camera on the back, and a 2MP front camera for making video calls.

Galaxy Note 3 arrives on shelves with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS inside, and with a 3200mAh battery. It runs under Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
