Galaxy Note 2, currently the largest smartphone that Samsung unveiled to the world with Google’s Android operating system on board, should land on shelves at T-Mobile in the near future.

Rumors on this have emerged a while ago, and confirmation on the matter is now available, courtesy of a software update for the device.

The smartphone is said to feature model number SGH-T889, and a firmware update for it, dated September 15th, shows that Magenta will carry it.

T-Mobile’s Galaxy Note 2 model will arrive on shelves without LTE connectivity packed inside, and it should run software close to that featured on the international version.

Of course, it will provide users with support for the carrier’s HSPA+ network, as well as with all the specs and features already made official for it, but other details on this T-Mobile-specific variant are not available for the time being.
