Following the official unveiling of the new GALAXY S 4 smartphone, wireless carriers around the world started to announce their plans to add it to their offerings, and operators in Canada were among the first to do so, it seems.

Samsung Canada also confirmed that almost a dozen carriers would be adding the new handset to their lineups in the second quarter of the year, but did not offer further details on availability and pricing.

“The Samsung GALAXY S 4 will be available Q2 in Canada from Bell, Eastlink, Fido, Koodo, Mobilicity, Rogers, SaskTel, TELUS, Videotron, Virgin Mobile and Wind Mobile and their authorized channels. Further details will be released closer to Canadian availability,” the company reportedly announced.

The smartphone was officially announced as set to hit shelves starting with the end of April, and more on its release date will be unveiled next month, so stay tuned.
