LG Electronics is expected to make official full HD smartphones in the beginning of the next year, and one such device has already received the necessary approvals from the Bluetooth SIG.

The handset has received certification as model LG-F240S (for SK Telecom), but it is said to land on shelves as LG-F240L at LG U+ and as LG-F240K at KT in South Korea.

Furthermore, the smartphone is also expected to land in the United States via AT&T as LG-E940.

In addition to offering Bluetooth 4.0 capabilities, the phone is also said to include LTE / W-CDMA / GSM capabilities, a 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm APQ8064 Snapdragon processor inside, and a full HD (1080 x 1920) touchscreen.

When launched, the mobile phone might run under Google’s Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system. The handset is said to be slated for global availability.
