Friendcaster for Facebook has just been updated with a few improvements and new features. The Android application now allows users to post videos to profiles, groups and events.

In addition, the latest update provides a fix for viewing the wrong photo from the news feed issue. Furthermore, the default value for “Save News Feed Position” has been disabled, and the application features streamlined photo and video upload dialogs.

According to OneLouder Apps, the “Facebook Chat API is now used to send private messages in threads that allow it (2-person threads).”

However, this will require a re-login to authorize the Facebook Chat permission when an upgrading user opens messages, a message thread, or sends a message from a user's profile info tab.

Friendcaster for Facebook 5.1.2 is now available as a free download via Google Play store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 1.6 and up. Check it out here.
