Shortly after BlackBerry announced that a new version of Facebook for OS 10 was available for download via BlackBerry World, the team behind foursquare application has confirmed that a new update has been released.

Just in time for the BlackBerry Q10’s launch in Canada, foursquare has announced that its application now features BlackBerry 10.1 support, thus it can be installed on the Q10.

Aside from that, the update brings some improvements and bug fixes, which will enhance user experience even further:

- Enhanced explore auto complete: now includes popular places and common searches around you as well as categories; - Lightning fast check-in: long press on a place while going to check in and be checked in right away Context Actions on the Friends tab, long press to like or comment on a friend’s check-in; - Fixed: photos now upload in the correct orientation.

Foursquare 10.1.2 is now available as a free download via BlackBerry World and it should be fully compatible with all devices running BlackBerry 10 and up. Check it out here.
