The folks at Foursquare have just updated their Android application with new features and improvements meant to make user’s overall experience much smoother.

The most important addition seems to be the fact that users can now report tips that are spam, offensive or no longer important through the Tip details page.

In addition, developers have bolded out those shout-outs and mentions of friends for check-ins. There’s also new categorization of venue photos available now.

The application only shows users what's more relevant at the top and duplicates have been removed. Last but not least, the quick save capability is now available from the activity stream.

Foursquare 2012.10.09 is now available as a free download via Google Play store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.1 and up. Check it out here.
